The incidence of adhesion formation following C-section is consistent with other gynecologic procedures. In particular adhesions after repeated c-section occur in 46% of the cases at time of 2nd c-section, 76% at time of 3rd and 83% at time of 4th. 1.

C-Section protection starts deep with an absorbable adhesion barrier like GYNECARE INTERCEED® which can be used between the uterine incision and bladder flap, as well as between the bladder flap and anterior peritoneum, if the bladder flap is closed.
